The search for a replacement for Blackboard CE8—the platform upon which CULearn is based—began this past spring. A faculty-led committee evaluated a range of potential platforms, and the evaluation is ongoing.
As opposed to how transitions were handled in years past, the transition from one platform to another will include a year-long “overlap” period, during which you will have the option of using either one. After that period, the campus will switch to the new platform.
